Reese and Jen's sexy secret: 'Makeout Saturdays'

Reese Witherspoon and Jennifer Aniston might be closer friends than anyone realised.

Describing Aniston at Elle magazine's Women in Hollywood event, Witherspoon said: "You just want to get your nails done with her and you want to make out with her at the same time."

"At least I do," the Walk the Line star playfully confessed. "And that's what we do sometimes on Saturdays!"

Aniston was honoured at the 18th annual ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles, along with Barbra Streisand, Viola Davis, Michelle Pfeiffer, Elizabeth Olsen, Evan Rachel Wood, Naomi Watts, Freida Pinto and DreamWorks chief Stacey Snider.

Witherspoon joked that she gets to enjoy manicure-and-makeout Saturdays with Aniston "because she's my friend, not yours".

Nine women were honoured at Elle magazine's Women in Hollywood event, yet all were dazzled by one lady in particular.

Barbra Streisand wowed her fellow honorees at the 18th annual celebration of Hollywood's leading ladies.

Pfeiffer called her an icon. Wood and Pinto were giddy at the prospect of meeting her. Watts said she was a legend. Aniston told Streisand she loved her.

Fellow fans Viola Davis, Elizabeth Olsen and DreamWorks Studios chief Stacey Snider were also honored Monday at the dinner ceremony at the Four Seasons Hotel in Los Angeles.

The 69-year-old Streisand noted that her colleagues were "so charming, so well-spoken, and so thin" and she urged them: "Don't wait for your phone to ring. Create your own material."
